Third-party wallets to manage assets

Some excellent third-party wallets also support convenient management of assets on the Bifrost network, you can try the following plugins or wallets:

NB: We do not encourage users to use the old polkadot.js wallet.


Connecting to the dapp

  1. Click on "Select A User" the right bar on the top right of the dapp. If the name of your account is not loading, you are not connected to the dapp.

  1. Click on the wallet you want to connect

For Polkadot:

For Ethereum/EVM:

You can click on Metamask to conenct any of the EVM wallets like Talisman, Rabby, Taho, Rainbow, Phantom...

If the wallet extension is not active or if you don't have any wallet, you will be asked to download a wallet

3. Select the account you want to connect to the dapp

  1. If you are properly connected, then your wallet's name is displayed


Shortcuts from the wallet

  1. Click on your wallet's name to display the wallet's shortcut menu

  1. You can click on "+" to connect another wallet/account

  2. You can click on the wallet dropdown list to display all other connected addresses and switch from one to another

  1. You can click on the "Copy" button to copy your active BNC address and click on the "Subscan" button to get directly redirected to your account on the explorer https://bifrost-kusama.subscan.io/ or https://bifrost.subscan.io/


FAQ

When the browser has installed the corresponding wallet but still cannot detect the extension:

  • Try to refresh the browser;

  • Try restarting your browser and log in to bifrost.app again;

  • Check if plugins are disabled in your browser;

  • Clear browser cache.

No extension pop-up while waiting for authorization:

  • Click the corresponding extension on the browser and try to call up the operation window;

  • Check whether the relevant operation window is blocked by other windows.

Follow the steps below to unblock Subwallet browser plugins:

In Subwallet, click on the icon to open the wallet and verify you have connected accounts

Click on the dropdown menu to open the window and select which account you want to connect, at least 1 Polkadot account if you own several

Follow the steps below to unblock Talisman browser plugins:

In Talisman, click on the icon to open the wallet and verify you have connected accounts

Click on the dropdown menu to open the window and select which account you want to connect, at least 1 Polkadot account if you own several

Follow the steps below to unblock polkadot.js browser plugins:

  1. Click the browser wallet extension icon to call up the panel, and click the settings icon in the upper right corner

2. Click the "Manage Website Access" button in the settings

3. Find bifrost.app and change the denied to allowed

4. Refresh the Bifrost Dapp page and try connecting again

After connecting the wallet, address is not detected

  • Check if there is an address in the wallet, if not, generate an address by importing/creating it, then refresh the Dapp and try to reconnect

Modify the type of the address in the wallet to a generic type according to the following steps:

  1. Click the browser wallet plugin icon to call up the panel and click the option button to the right of the address

2. In the entension settings panel, change the address type to allow all chains to use

Follow the steps below to unhide address settings:

1.Click the browser wallet plugin icon to bring up the panel

2.Click the red eye on the right side of the address to cancel the address hiding setting
